Overview

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women's health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Social Media Strategist.

The Social Media Strategist is responsible for planning and executing campaigns to increasing awareness of key messages by driving traffic to our products and resources and fostering engagements with key audiences. Drive an integrated customer-centric strategy and message across all ACOG's social media channels. Oversee the daily management and production of posts and paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms. Work collaboratively with internal partners to build a strong, engaged online community that aligns with ACOG's brand and business goals. Cover Letter Required.



Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

    Creates and publishes relevant, high-quality content for organization's social media channels.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain an organization-wide editorial and content calendar and execute campaigns according to strategic goals. Ensure campaign consistency and strategic messaging distribution.
  • Works closely with creative team to concept and create original graphics, videos, illustrations, and other visuals.
  • Plans, budgets and executes paid social media advertising campaigns in support of key organization initiatives.
  • Works with leadership to develop a comprehensive social media strategy that advances organization goals, boosts following, engagement, and drives brand awareness and growth.
  • Curates content designed to engage followers and promote the brand in a positive manner.
  • Fosters engagement in our online community by responding to followers, in a timely and appropriate manner, and connecting with key women's health care influencers.
  • Provides insights, reporting, and analysis on a regular basis to inform strategy and create scalable learnings.
  • Creates guidelines and policies, trains designated staff and entities in the use of and best practices for social media platforms and similar technologies relating to digital engagement, digital relationship building, social communities and social networking.
  • Utilize data and up-to-the-minute knowledge of the social media environments to analyze and optimize ACOG's social presence and brand authority across channels.
  • Conduct regular competitor analyses to support, modify, and affirm the social strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or similar discipline required.
  • 2-4 years of social media marketing experience, hands-on experience in paid social advertising preferred.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for women's health care and physician audiences.
  • Able to perform well under deadlines, with strong drive to achieve results.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar tools preferred.
  • Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects with moving targets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for social media marketing and digital marketing trends.
