Spanish Subtitle and Captioning Editor

We're currently hiring a Spanish Subtitle and Captioner Editor to join the Minneapolis team. Reporting to the Localization Manager, you will be responsible for translation, proofing, editing and timing, of subtitles and captions for broadcast TV, films, and other video materials.

DAY TO DAY:

• Translation from and to Latin American Spanish from and to English
• Proofing English and Spanish subtitles and captions
• Technical QC in Spanish and other languages to maintain highest standards
• Import and export various file formats
• Follow all internal policies for project management and tracking in project management software
• Assist in communication, file transfers and general project management with internal and external resources

WHO YOU ARE:

• High proficiency in written Spanish and English
• Experience in translation
• Experience in subtitling, captioning, and video post-production services and related software tools preferred
• Ability to multitask while completing tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and to document processes
• Affinity for communicating with coworkers and engineering staff
• Comfortable in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and common video players
• Engaged, problem-solving attitude and a knack for troubleshooting
• Ability to work flexible hours and/or multitask to meet deadlines and departmental demands
