Schneider Downs Wealth Management Advisors (SDWMA), an affiliate of Schneider Downs, is a Registered Investment Advisor specializing in investment advisory services and personal financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, as well as investment advisory service to retirement plans, including investment menu design and oversight, investment analysis, financial planning, and general education for retirement plan participants.

SUMMARY - ASSOCIATE INVESTMENT ADVISOR

The Associate Investment Advisor will work with other investment experts and client service professionals to deliver investment management and financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals and families. The successful candidate will provide support to senior advisors while learning all aspects of our firms' philosophy and business. This position, given the success of the candidate, will develop into an investment advisor position.

RESPONSIBILITIES - ASSOCIATE INVESTMENT ADVISOR

  • Work closely with Advisors to provide analysis, input and recommendations for prospect and client financial situations, and create appropriate financial planning schedules
  • Prepare and/or assist with the creation of client reports such as financial statements, asset allocation analyses, investment policy statements, investment proposals
  • Participate in Financial Planning, Investment Committee and Portfolio Management meetings, pursuing comprehensive knowledge to apply to client planning and investment activities
  • Work with senior advisors to respond to client requests

QUALIFICATIONS - ASSOCIATE INVESTMENT ADVISOR

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services is required

Preferred:

  • CFP designation is strongly preferred, but not required

Other:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Morningstar, as well as familiarity with financial planning, securities balancing software and client relationship management software
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated commitment to professional and educational growth
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and an unwavering commitment to prompt and accurate follow-through on tasks are essential
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a growth oriented, small company environment
