Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager, Product Development & Innovation is responsible for overseeing and directing Becker's product development process, acting as the voice of the customer, driving product innovation and delivering differentiated products that address customer needs and represent viable business opportunities. The Senior Product Manager should have the vision to create novel ideas and generate new strategies to develop profitable products with high return on investment (ROI).

• Collaborate with the Becker leadership team to document and manage vision and strategy across all Becker products
• Build and manage a team of product mangers responsible for developing and maintaining product roadmaps for both curriculum and software development for all products
• Promote cross-functional innovation within the Becker organization by creating opportunities to share, test and implement new ideas
• Lead the gathering of customer requirements through discussions with key stakeholders in product, marketing, sales and operations and through research to understand and document user journeys and customer needs
• Work with product, sales and marketing teams to develop business cases for new products and enhancements to existing products
• Lead the prioritization of product opportunities in collaboration with marketing and sales
• Support marketing in the development of product commercialization and product launch plans
• Facilitate cross-functional understanding of the technical aspects of accounting curriculum and user/learner personas
• Oversee the product development process by coordinating with curriculum and software development teams to deliver product enhancements and new products on time and to customer and stakeholder specifications
• Lead product manager collaboration with product designers to test and validate new product designs and updated product features
• Lead beta and pilot programs for new products and significant product enhancements
• Ensure that high standards of reliability, quality, usability, and measurement are adhered to throughout each phase of product development
• Maintain a deep understanding of competitor products and work with marketing team to enhance and evolve Becker's competitive positioning and product differentiation strategy
• Understand and disseminate market trends, research findings and customer perspectives to key stakeholders
• Work with product, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met
• After release, lead the performance of research to ensure that new products and significant product enhancements meet customer needs
• Perform product demos for customers and product training for sales team
• Work with finance team to assess ROI on new product and major product enhancement initiatives
• Support and participate in the annual planning and budgeting process, providing insight into future needs and trends and product development and messaging
• Any other duties as may be assigned or required

• Minimum of five years' experience in product management
• Agile CSPO training/certification preferred
• Ideally, at least five years' experience in the education marketplace
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
• Exposure to and understanding of research sources and methodologies, especially in the education arena
• Familiarity with target marketing and product positioning
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills as this position requires significant collaboration between customers and internal departments
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Passion for conceiving, creating, and designing useful, innovative products
• Experience identifying various business problems or product flaws and coming up with creative solutions
