You will partner with world class engineering's and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.
We are hiring a Project Application Engineer for our Independence, OH facility.
Key Responsibilities This position is responsible for the design of building automation systems. You will receive project specifications from the sales engineering team. Projects range from stores, and other multisite facilities to distribution centers across customers in North America. Design building automation systems, select bill of materials, lay out riser diagrams, develops sequence of operations, and designs BAS panel layouts to meet the intent of the project specifications. Includes third-party device integration connected through BACNET or Modbus.
- Develops control drawings in AutoCad.
- Chooses the appropriate mix of products to provide the most cost-effective solution.
- Analyzes project plans, and construction contract specifications to determine project requirements and risks.
- Accountable to for quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs.
- Will assist with Sales estimates and participate in initial job site evaluation.
- Will collaborate with the projects team, Sales and customer as needed.
- Approximately 5% travel is required.
- Collaborates with the software engineer to ensure synchronization of hardware and software.
Must Have
- Associate's degree
- 3+ years of HVAC industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience doing Application Engineering work for BAS systems or other control systems.
- 2+ years of experience with computer-related drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD, Visio, etc)
