Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a General Manager to provide overall leadership to our yearbook division. This is an intentional transition opportunity to learn from and work alongside the incumbent to oversee sales, production, product development and administrative segments as well as production KPIs. This successful candidate will oversee contractual obligations, maintain partnerships, drive sales, ensure a culture of engagement and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

This role will drive the achievement of sustainable revenue growth while maintaining profit margins; build a culture of high performance with teams capable of collaborating cross functionally and making decisions together.

Your Responsibilities:



  • Lead all aspects of the business, including, but not limited to: operations, sales, marketing and technology.
  • Full accountability for financial performance from creation of budget to actual monthly P&L performance, including such tasks as forecasting, variance reporting, budgeting, etc.
  • Using customer segmentation and data, identify, develop and execute key sales enablement strategy, materials and tools to accelerate growth.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and be able to influence teammates, outside of direct reporting structures, in order to deliver on-time and quality work.
  • Unwavering decision-making with disciplined communication, influence, and proven ability to help others realize their potential.
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of the business including backlogs, schedules, markups, costs, and pricing to ensure good business decisions are made daily.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and key vendors; act as an escalation point for customer or key vendor issues.
  • Review and manage all RFP's and contracts to daily pricing decisions.
  • Selects, develops, trains, and motivates staff to ensure attainment of short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Drive improvements in customer loyalty and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and improve systems to ensure productivity, quality, service and cost containment.
  • Develops business plans and annual budgets focusing on profitability.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive landscapes and champion opportunities for expansion: customers, markets, industry developments, investments, partnerships, alliances and mergers and acquisitions.


You Must Have:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Management experience leading teams (including sales teams)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal, strategic planning, organizational and leadership skills to manage and motivate employees
  • Working knowledge of most functional areas (manufacturing, finance, sales/marketing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated capabilities at writing implementable business plans
  • Ability to balance needs of production and sales/customers
  • A drive for results
  • Innovative at solving problems and accomplishing goals


We Would Also Prefer:



  • Broad management experience in print manufacturing
