As our Planning, Coordination and Strategy Analyst, you will help support System Planning initiatives so they can achieve objectives. We are involved in the coordination of transmission planning, cost allocation, stakeholder communications, and state and federal issues. This is a great opportunity to affect the constantly evolving world in the ways we think about electricity by helping to bring federal and state policies and drivers to realization.

As the Planning, Coordination and Strategy Analyst, you will be part of the team that works to solve complex problems that are constantly changing in the utility industry. An ability to adapt and be creative is a necessity. We have a unique opportunity to develop long lasting relationships with our diverse stakeholder community.

You will also have the opportunity to play an integral part in helping workflow for all aspects of MISO's long Range Transmission Planning effort under the MISO Reliability Imperative. Long Range Transmission Planning is an effort to understand the needs of the future grid to accommodate our ever-changing generation fleet for 10, 20 and 30 years down the road. As well, you will be part of MISO's interregional planning efforts providing support for our relationships and processes with our neighboring Regional Transmission Organizations (RTO's) and other entities.

In one year as our Planning, Coordination and Strategy Analyst, you will know you were successful if:

* You demonstrated your ability to balance and prioritize multiple long-term projects to meet department and corporate objectives

* You developed and applied an in-depth understanding of the policy and business drivers guiding the MISO transmission planning process(s)

We are looking for hardworking professionals who have:

* A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, or related field, or 4 years of related experience

We would also prefer related electric power or energy sector experience in the areas of system operations, market analysis, transmission planning, economic modeling or financial analysis

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
