The Health Sensing team develops ground breaking health sensors that are central to helping our customers live a healthier lifestyle. We are looking for a highly-motivated engineer to work with research scientists and engineers on the next generation of health sensors. You will assist with conceiving, modeling, and prototyping new sensor solutions. This role requires engineering excellence, creativity, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Key Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of EE fundamentals
  • Experience modeling, building and testing complex systems
  • Experience in PCB design and circuit simulation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Health sensor design (e.g., optical, electrical, thermal, etc)
  • Prototyping skills, including mechanical assembly, firmware, device characterization/test, and HW bringup
  • FMEA analysis
  • Labview
  • Python, MATLAB, or similar simulation languages
  • Working with vendors and contract manufacturers
Description
You will participate in the development of new health sensors. You will be responsible for aspects related to electrical engineering. In particular, you will participate in sensor technology investigations. You will contribute to the development and characterization of prototypes and proof-of-concept hardware. You will be in charge of circuit, PCB design, and component/system characterization. You will define, author, and publish key specifications and other documentation. You will analyze and monitor vendor data as well as data from engineering builds. You will perform failure analysis, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions. You will give clear technical updates to the broader team and management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on activities such as -Mechanical design and PCB design -FMEA modeling and verification -Algorithm development -Sensor calibration and reliability testing -User study design and analysis
Education & Experience
MS or PhD in EE, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience
