Duties
- Provide direct project management support and serve as a CMS Medicaid team leader in reviewing and analyzing state Medicaid section 1115 requests.
- Serve as a CMS Medicaid team leader in the development, approval and oversight of the implementation of Medicaid and CHIP 1115 demonstrations and related budget neutrality.
- Prepare a variety of written products, including policy and operational options, briefing documents, talking points and issue decision papers to address technical matters.

In order to qualify for the GS-14, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Providing technical guidance on policies or initiatives pertaining to Medicaid Section 1115 demonstrations on eligibility and coverage or service delivery and payment reform methodologies and on budget neutrality; and (2) Analyzing state Medicaid section 1115 requests.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
