Position Details Position Information Position Title Assistant Softball CoachPay Grade Level FLSA Benefits Department Athletics Campus Location Escanaba Min Salary Max Salary FTE 0.15 Full-time/Part-time Part-Time Position Type Staff Job Summary/Basic Function The Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for assisting with coaching and recruiting, instructing, and coordinating various program related activities. The Assistant Softball Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Bay College and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Minimum Qualifications * Associates Degree Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree preferred Months Per Year Hours Worked Per Week Work Schedule Seasonal Supervision Exercised Supervises Managers and Student workers. Supervision Received Works under the general supervision of the Head Coach and Athletic Director. Work is primarily performed in gymnasium, office or school setting under limited supervision. Traveling and evening/weekend work is required. EQUIPMENT USED : Computer, recruiting and statistic software, tablet, stopwatch, softballs, pitching machine, radar gun, tees, fungo bats, field maintenance equipment, weights, free weights, and cardio machines. Travel requirement Job Duties Job DutyTeach sport skills, condition and motivate student-athletes to positive action and utilize effective strategies to produce a successful student experience. Job Duty Assist with recruitment of a sufficient number of new student-athletes annually and retain current student-athletes, in accordance with NJCAA rules and regulations, through scouting, attending games/tournaments, and home visits. Job Duty Assist in planning, preparation and administration of practice plans and competition strategy plans. Job Duty Assist with all aspects, areas, and components of the Norse softball program. Job Duty Represents the sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the community. Job Duty Support the vision/mission of Bay College by providing student success, culture of success and community success. Job Duty Support all college efforts for student completion.
