Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Fundraising Operations reports directly to the Director of Development & Membership Operations. The Associate Director's focus is on the day-to-day oversight and systems management of the Development & Membership's revenue figures and reporting.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Oversees the processing of Development & Membership income according to established income processing policies and procedures.
  • Manages a Development staff position which includes mentoring, performance management, etc.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact with the Data & Analytics department.
  • Track income raised by Development & Membership and report current revenue figures to the department on a weekly basis, or upon request.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with the Finance department, managing the monthly reconciliation process with the Finance department's revenue figures. Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of HRC's revenue figures on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist the Director in continually updating income-processing procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy of systems.
  • Manage the onboarding of new Development Department admin staff and train existing staff on an ongoing basis to ensure they are adhering to operations systems changes and updates.
  • Primary point of contact in managing the relationship with HRC's caging firm (Merkle Response Group). Additionally, will work with other vendors to manage the stewardship of those relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Five to eight years equivalent work. Ideal candidates will have an established background in accounting or process management procedures and membership database systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to respond and operate strategically and effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism.
  • Flexibility and organization to provide support on a range of needs from an array of fundraising teams throughout the Development & Membership Department.
  • Strong willingness to be a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook) and Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs and Drive)
  • Must have proven process management skills.
  • Flexibility with work schedules is required.
  • Strong interest and knowledge in the rapidly changing LGBTQ+ equality movement.
