About this Position:

As the Warranty Recovery Coordinator, you will be responsible for evaluating warranty data, Market Quality investigations, and supplier responses, to construct problem narratives and engage with external supplier staff to debate the technical details that ultimately determine supplier cost responsibility rates for issues that occurred in the market.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing engineering expertise, evaluate quality reports to understand root cause and countermeasure activities related to design or manufacturing. Investigate reports, claim history, and other sources to determine suspect build ranges for impacted vehicles. Conduct a Situational Analysis/Decision Analysis to determine the most accurate assessment method, then calculate supplier responsibility according to the SA/DA result. Construct the technical problem narrative to present the analysis and calculated cost responsibility to external suppliers.
• Work with external suppliers to maintain our business partnership, while resolving any disagreement on the technical details, and settling the issue with mutual agreement.
• Lead on-going or special warranty recovery programs such as Honda Challenge Quality, audio systems, or transmissions.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum four years of manufacturing, quality, data analysis, or other relevant experience.

Required Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar

Desired skills:

• Technical aptitude in the problem-solving process related to automobile products to understand "cause and effect" and the relationship to data trends.
• Precise analytical skills with ability to extract and analyze data from various company systems (SQL, DB2, etc),
• Strong Excel experience to include pivoting, charting, and basic financial reconciliation.
• Clear communication and effective negotiation with external supplier staff.
• Self-discipline to prioritize and manage multiple objectives.

Additional Position Factors:

• Local travel between plants/building on Ohio's campuses
• Some travel is required on occasions (Supplier, Factory, Sales)
• Expected 2-8 hours overtime per week as needed
