Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist position is primarily responsible for assisting our third-party recruiting agency and hiring managers with the recruitment and screening of candidates for open positions, on-boarding of new hires, providing direct support for the administration of all company benefit programs, operating as an HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) expert and supports all other HR related functions including compensation, performance management, training and development of employees, audits, leave of absences and employee relations activities. The position is hands-on and will partner in policy development, company communications, and event scheduling. The position works directly with managers and payroll, and reports to the Corporation's Director of Human Resources. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Recruiting, Hiring, and Separation:
- Work directly with hiring managers and our third-party recruiting agency to develop recruiting strategies to attract high-quality candidates
- Assist in the management of each phase of the hiring process, including posting of openings, resume screening, interviews, candidate screening and hiring
- Ensure applicant tracking is in conformance with EEO guidelines
- Assist in the execution of the corporation's annual affirmative action plan with respect to recruiting and hiring
- Assist with new employee on-boarding and the separation process for employees leaving the company
- Administer pre-employment background checks and schedule pre-employment drug tests for new hires
- Benefits Plan Development and Administration:
- Maintain industry knowledge of benefit plan trends
- Retain a thorough knowledge of the Company's benefit plans including employee eligibility, costs, terms, and conditions
- Field employee and carrier benefit questions and concerns
- Assist with the corporation's annual open enrollment process
- Assist with the review, reconciliation and payment of all benefit related invoices
- Human Resources Practices and Policies:
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and counsel to managers and employees on HR policy, procedures, employment/labor laws
- Partner in policy and procedure development and implementation
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Company's Affirmative Action plan in coordination with outside service provider, including the administration of regulatory reporting compliance (EEO-1 report and Vets 100 report)
- Administer L&I claims and maintain OSHA log
- Assist with all HR related company audits
- Partner in planning company events to include company meetings, annual holiday parties, and other employee appreciation events as requested by management.
- Partner with the corporation's Director of Human Resources and Director of Culture, Learning & Leadership Development on the development and administration of all HR related functions and activities. This includes performance management, compensation, training and development, organizational leadership development, talent assessment, and developing a culture aligned with the corporation's core purpose and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Interface with technology, operate a computer, navigate complex HRIS systems and challenges
- Ability to maintain confidentiality surrounding sensitive issues
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction
- Ability to interact with all levels of Sabey employees, candidates, and business partners - must be able to build and maintain strong professional relationships with fellow Sabey employees and potential candidates
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a directly related field required
- 2+ years of human resources administration experience required
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
- SHRM-CP, PHR or another HR related certification preferred
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, without compromising quality of work
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to maintain a strong focus on quality accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations
- Advanced knowledge of the English language - excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of Sabey employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS and Payroll system
- Must be committed to continuous learning and growing within the organization
