Apple is looking for an exceptional editor and creative content leader to join our global Retail Engagement and Marketing team, conceiving and supervising the development of creative work that inspires, empowers and educates a Retail team of more than 70,000 worldwide. In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of Retail's internal comms and engagement editorial strategy across multiple platforms. You will ensure the flawless ideation, development and execution of world-class content - from storytelling, tone of voice and editorial planning, to innovative experiences and opportunities for learning and development for our Retail team. You will lead teams around you to build communications, experiences, and learning content for Retail employees worldwide - including articles, video, audio, events, digital broadcast, social media and interactive experiences. You will be a leading creative force and a vital teammate, driven to exceed expectations on every piece of work and, from the small details to the big ideas, deliver nothing less than outstanding. You'll also have a richly global mindset, a broad cultural awareness and an understanding of news, trends and entertainment media across markets.
Key Qualifications
  • A creative content problem solver, who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, can learn and adapt, and enables creatives to support one another and do their best work.
  • You have 10+ years demonstrated ability in cross-platform content strategy, creative writing and/or communications for either major media companies or marketing & advertising agencies.
  • Strong experience in developing and leading teams on content strategy, planning, writing, and editing.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strategic insight and editorial talent through journalism pieces, digital brand campaigns, experiential events, and written, audio and video content.
  • Solid expertise in developing creative concepts and content from ideas to execution for a variety of campaigns and media, including events, collateral, promotional materials, social, and digital.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Strategists, and Producers to develop work.
  • A natural instinct and unbridled love for writing, and the ability to build powerful stories through words.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous spelling and punctuation, and a fastidious attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interest in interactive platforms and web 3.0.
  • Ability to confidentially articulate concepts and present work to senior creative and strategic partners via clear, compelling storytelling.
Description
Help craft and lead creative content across Apple's Retail Engagement and Marketing. Lead editorially-driven work from concept to delivery that can be seamlessly integrated into various mediums and touch points. Lead and inspire a team of writers and content creators on projects ranging from internal communications copy, event programming and learning experiences, to video scripts and digital assets for the various Retail touch points. Partner with the world's best Designers, Art Directors, Producers and Editors to ideate, refine and implement creative concepts that are strategically sound and creatively bold. Collaborate with international teams across Geos to ensure the delivery of globally relevant and locally-attuned work. Work with User Experience designers and platform leads to develop content outlines and future-proved platform improvements. Write copy in various touch points and mediums that inspires and keeps with the voice of the Apple brand. Apply understanding of Apple values, mission and employee development vision to create meaningful content and experiences for the Retail teams around the world.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
