Community Relations Project Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Community Relations Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a wide range of activities for the Strategic Development & Acquisitions Group's community relations function in support of the development of new solar, wind, battery storage and carbon capture projects, including land agent onboarding and training, event coordination, supplies management, and large printing and mailing projects, among other responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Coordinate onboarding for land agents, including training, IT coordination and providing initial and ongoing supplies of land acquisition materials.
  • Coordinate open houses and other events to support land acquisition or project development.
  • Interact with customers or counterparties by phone and in person as needed to schedule meetings, respond to correspondence and answer inquiries.
  • Assist with administration of the Community Relations Resources Sharepoint page.
  • Desktop research to support land acquisition and development activities.
  • Manage the virtual store and internal "supply room" that supports land agent, land acquisition and development marketing materials and supplies; order materials as needed.
  • Provide support for mailing projects, including mail merge, address labels, proofreading, printing, assembly and scanning for archiving purposes (this includes payment mailings, parcel map mailings, surface waivers, informational updates and cover letters, among others).
  • Assist with large printing projects, such as printing, compiling and mailing application binders to support project permitting.
  • Proofread, format and organize documents for filing in data rooms.
  • Organize in-bound paperwork for processing by Contracts team.
  • Assist with invoicing and payment requests.
  • Introduce efficiencies that enhance work processes.
  • Reliable, dependable, and predictable attendance is required.
  • Potential for travel to support various events.


Education/Experience/Skills

Basic Requirements:



  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an office environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a multi-project environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent written, editing and communication skills.
  • Special projects/events coordination experience preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle assignments from multiple sources.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and has the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and make sustained progress toward a deadline.
  • Ability to be flexible and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct desktop research.
  • Ability to type at least 60 wpm from hard copy.
  • Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and letter composition.
  • High personal standards for performance and integrity.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion.
  • "Can-do attitude" and willingness to jump into any project and follow it to successful completion.
  • Ability to execute a number of parallel tasks and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Positive, self-starter attitude with strong work ethic.
