Senior Privacy Specialist (REMOTE)

GEICO Technology Solutions is looking for a Senior Privacy Specialist to join our privacy team. GEICO's Privacy Specialists will review the company's services, products, and offerings to identify privacy related issues, and help execute and improve GEICO's privacy program. The position will be responsible for consulting on privacy matters, development, implementation, maintenance and execution of policy and procedural documentation in support of GEICO's Privacy Program. The ideal candidate will also coordinate with multiple business areas including Internal Audit, Cyber Risk Management, GRC, Finance, Legal, HR, Tech Services, etc. to ensure privacy requirements are effectively implemented to promote compliance objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining privacy related notices, policies, standards, guidelines and processes.
  • Conduct Privacy Impact assessments, review results and work with stakeholders to mitigate privacy risks across the organization.
  • Help develop, implement and manage processes, internal controls relating to privacy frameworks and offer privacy support to various departments.
  • Collaborate with compliance and security professionals on projects related to compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
  • Assist in developing and administering privacy training and awareness campaigns for various groups within the company.
  • Review, summarize and provide guidance on new privacy legislation.
  • Provide support to other teams for data mapping, data masking, and implementing privacy-by-design.
  • Provide support for Data Subject Requests and Data Loss incidents.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Privacy-related operations.
  • Experience in privacy laws and frameworks such as the NIST Privacy Framework, US privacy laws, CCPA/CPRA, etc.
  • Experience conducting privacy reviews, control assessments and privacy impact assessments.
  • Experience in investigating complex privacy issues across multiple platforms
  • Privacy certification (such as CIPP/CIPM/CIPT or similar) strongly preferred.
  • OneTrust knowledge preferred
