Duties and Responsibilities |
- Act as the Linux subject matter expert, providing technical leadership across all IT disciplines.
- Participate in the design and build of a centralized Linux patch and configuration management solution.
- Optimize performance of production Linux servers.
- Maintain the virtual and physical infrastructure to ensure stability, scalability, and availability.
- Assist with the upgrade and migration of the F5 infrastructure to new systems.
- Manage internal and external DNS.
- Participate in the Server Operations team on-call rotation.
- Assist the Server Operations team in management of AIX, SAN, NAS, Windows, and backup infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot hardware and server operating system issues.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with members of Server Operations, Network Services and other teams within Information Technology Services, and Campus Partners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
- Contribute to the documentation of server infrastructure.
