Duties and Responsibilities	The Ulijasz Lab is hiring a research technician (www.ulijaszlab.com). Previous laboratory experience is required that includes basic skills in the biological sciences, e.g. pipetting skills and making chemical stocks/buffers and or medium. This position offers an excellent opportunity for highly motivated individuals to eventually oversee an independent science project and career advancement, including authorship on lab publications. The successful candidate will support research projects by performing straightforward lab assays and analysis. Carry out experiments as instructed by Principal Investigator (PI). Assists PI, research staff, and students with various lab procedures and projects. The successful candidate is able to: Get along well with others, is personable and can train others (e.g. students). Carry out literature searches and analyses as instructed by Principle Investigator (PI) during assay development. Generate reports on these analyses. Organize, curates and updates data bases of the acquired information and the corresponding analyses. Maintain orderly records. Maintain a safe and orderly working environment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the PI and lab manager, including ordering of lab supplies and reagents.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience	Education Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience Required: None Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
