Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with a team of technologists to deliver insight across various aspects of CareCentrix's Master Data Management system. You will be working on developing and managing database frameworks to ensure their stability, reliability and performance. As a Data Engineer, you will also be responsible for performing thorough testing and validation in order to support the accuracy of data transformations and data verification used in CCX Applications. The Data Engineer should value teamwork, demonstrate integrity and honesty, are passionate, innovative and strives for excellence.

In this job, you will:

• Design, code, test, debug and document complex data base queries
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
• Design relational database models for small and large applications
• Provide data analysis and validation
• Work with teams for identification of performance issues in production
• PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimizations of newly develop and existing applications
• Work effectively with the Infrastructure architects and DBA teams to ensure that all approved development and deployment procedures are followed
• Work with internal and external users to understand the requirements, explain issues and prioritize work
• Follow and adopt SDLC process

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or within a STEM related subject
• You have 3+ years database development experience
• You have solid software engineering principles (Data structures, OO, design patterns)
• You have database programming/development skills using PL/SQL, T-SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers)
• You have strong knowledge about RDBMS Concepts
• You have knowledge about scripting (Python, Shell etc)
• You have an understanding logical and physical data models
• You are comfortable with best practices around Test Driven Design, source control management.
• You are self-motivated and comfortable making day-to-day decisions
• You have strong analytical and communications skills
• You have the ability to work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• You have exposure to big data technologies is a plus
