Come join a winning team! Academy Sports + Outdoors is looking for a Digital Media Specialist to join their team. This role is to support the planning and execution of Academy Sports + Outdoors paid media campaigns across multiple digital channels. This role will work across internal media and cross-functional teams to ensure overall campaign strategy is aligned and timelines are met. The Digital Marketing Specialist must have a strong focus on project management, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate to a variety of agency and internal partners. Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent years of related work experience

Work Experiences:

  • 2+ years of digital media marketing experience
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Experience in managing display and video programs from planning to execution, leveraging all facets of digital targeting which include but are not limited to behavioral, contextual, retargeting, and dynamic targeting
  • Experience working in digital ad platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, or other programmatic media platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business goals and develop unique media opportunities that deliver on the business goal

Skills:

  • Communication: Strong communications skills, both written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external teams
  • Digital Media: General understanding of digital media channels including social media, display, OLV, SEM, and affiliate.
  • Project management: Experience managing projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with agency partners, co-workers and vendor partners.
  • Organization: Well-organized with excellent time management skills
  • Analytics: Experience using web analytics tools and optimizing campaigns based on performance (Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics, tag/pixel management, and ad verification platforms a plus)
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with media agency and media vendors to create and execute tactical media recommendations.
  • Communicate campaign media plans to internal stakeholders - strategy, tactical plan, creative examples, performance insights, etc. - in order to facilitate seamless execution.
  • Drive Academy Sports + Outdoors media goals by ensuring campaign media spend is efficient in driving KPI performance goals
  • Partner with the media agency to provide actionable analysis of digital buys in order to optimize future campaigns based on those learnings.
  • Independently manage the annual budget including but not limited to reforecasting, reconciliation, IO management and invoicing
  • Proactively drive adoption of new technologies and develop new processes to drive efficiencies
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and external vendor partners to satisfy brand initiatives as well as maximize return for enterprise-wide priorities
  • Elevate the Academy Sports + Outdoors brand by ensuring brand consistency and aesthetic integrity in digital marketing assets
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy's policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Up to 10% of domestic travel, overnight stays as needed
