The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to improving the lives of all people seeking obstetric and gynecologic care, their families, and communities through supporting our members, is currently seeking a Day Cleaning Attendant.

The Day Cleaning Attendant plays a vital role in the overall cleanliness presentation of ACOG's facility and has a significant impact on creating an exceptional experience for employees and guest through the highest standard of professionalism and quality work. The Day Cleaning Attendant provides consistent quality cleaning services to ACOG's headquarters, a 120,000 square foot Class A office building in Washington, DC. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature and follow established procedures to accomplish execution of routine work.

Responsibilities

    Cleans offices, conference rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, and any other areas that may require attention.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
  • Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, woodwork, furniture, and windows.
  • Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, etc.
  • Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen.
  • Empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas.
  • Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to Facilities team.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures. Required to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per manufacturer and ACOG standards.
  • Accomplishes tasks assigned in an organized and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
