Ultrasound Technologist- Cardiovascular/ Reg Cardiac Sonographer & Reg Vascular Tech / FGP NYU Langone-Ambulatory Care, Bethpage

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Ultrasound Technologist- Cardiovascular Cert/Reg / FGP NYU Langone-Ambulatory Care, Bethpage.

In this role, the successful candidate performs all types of Echocardiography and Non-invasive Vascular testing including echos, stress echos, carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, PVR's, and abdominal aorta duplex testing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Performs echocardiograph exams using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and the IDX billing scheduling systems. Registers all studies performed in the log book.
• Performs vascular exams, using the EMR and IDX scheduling systems. Registers all studies performed in the log book.
• Handles calls regarding emergency test add-ons and scheduling issues.
• Assists in the proper functioning of the cardiovascular lab including, but not limited to, maintaining clean equipment and re-stocking the lab with supplies, as necessary.
• Attends quarterly quality assurance meetings and in-services as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a High School or GED required. Technical Diploma and Graduate from an Accredited (2) two year Ultrasound Program, required. 3 - 5 years in a cardiovascular ultrasound role in a hospital or private practice setting, required. Strong communication (both written and oral), problem solving, and customer service skills. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.,.

Required Licenses: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Certified, Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Certified, Registered Vascular Technologist

Preferred Qualifications:
Current and valid BLS or CPR certification.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
