Job Description

Must prove proficiency with one primary type of machine (presses or other primary equipment) in addition to general equipment used by the facility. Must demonstrate a working proficiency in some types of the common materials used by the branch. This position requires supervision to provide technical instructions as well as training on procedures, company policies, work instructions, shop protocol and the ERP and time keeping system.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Successfully perform all duties of machine setup including identifying and using fixtures, holding devices, tool selection and setting tools
  • Operate the machine safely and effectively by monitoring operations and making adjustments necessary to machine, holding devices or tooling to ensure a quality part is produced
  • Maintain a 99% average 1st Time Quality performance per quarter
  • Maintain a 99% average On Time Delivery performance per quarter
  • Maintain a 99% average cost, performance per quarter
  • Work effectively from work orders, prints, sketches, layout sheets, written or verbal instructions
  • Produce product/parts to tolerances identified within the machine's capability
  • Use measuring instruments such as, micrometer and Vernier calipers
  • Comply to all company policies, processes, SOPs, procedures, work instructions either written or verbal
  • Basic math skills including the ability to Calculate Speeds & Feeds
  • Must be capable of performing dimensional inspections as required to ensure geometry and features meet specifications.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company's goals.
  • Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company's environmental performance goals.
  • Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements

The Individual


    • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • The ability to read, write, add and subtract is required.



  • Zero to 2 months previous related or subordinate work experience plus 4 weeks to 11 months on-the-job training is required.


  • Must be able to sit for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant
