Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to concept, design, and implement the primary base circular which is business critical circular The GIANT Company. This entails the implementation of sales and marketing programs into a cohesive consumer friendly communication that maintains brand standards. This includes the management of complex timetables that impact category deal management, supply chain, sales and retail operations. This role is accountable for the timely creation and delivery of our key customer communication vehicle.

Essential Skills


  • Design needs to be unique and magnify the items that will drive highest customer awareness of value and integrate marketing message to create a single focused message. Circular is the primary marketing vehicles that touches consumers with over 50% of overall marketing spend committed to its development and execution. This includes development of unique concepts and page layouts for special themes or category events to drive higher awareness (i.e., Pricing Initiatives, Grand Opening).
  • Develop the circular leveraging unique page design and outstanding photography to create customer engagement. Innovate design to garner additional attention and awareness. Responsible for quality control of printing to ensure outstanding food photography and appetite appeal.
  • Responsible for image assets to ensure reflection of updated product images and outstanding beauty shots through our Digital Asset Manager. Responsible for maintaining circular standards to drive consistent brand recognition.
  • Identify issues, track down accurate information and manage workflow to get conflicts resolved.
  • Responsible to work with merchandising and merchandising execution teams to improve process minimizing conflicts and maximizing efficiencies. It is critical to resolve all conflicts and get the base perfected prior to moving the work on to the integration team where it is versioned. Any remaining conflict after versioning has to be solved at the LGC level which adds high degree of complexity, resource usage and risk for error.
  • Identify and document all major competitive activity in circular for use in quarterly planning, identifying those which identify a shift in competitive strategy or are exceptionally strong promotionally in order to defend sales.
