Why this role?

As Salesforce Senior Software Engineer you'll be responsible for the design, development and deployment of both new implementations/new functionality as well as ongoing support on the Salesforce.com platform. You will be a critical part of a team responsible for owning and executing delivery of Salesforce and business system solutions that are uniquely tailored to DHI's business needs. You will work directly with business subject matter experts, Product Managers and other engineering team members to understand their needs and detailed requirements, and will be responsible for designing a robust solution to meet those needs, communicating that solution in a clear and professional manner, implementing it in code, configuration as well as automating the deployment and testing of the functionality.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:



  • Ownership of all technical aspects of a Salesforce.com implementation, including custom code, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, and AppExchange products
  • Development, configuration and quality assurance in the Salesforce.com platform including Visualforce, JavaScript, Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, custom objects, and SOQL
  • Ensuring test coverage and validation of functionality is implemented and can be verified on an ongoing basis with future releases
  • Assisting the Manager and other members of the development team with the following:

    • Coaching team members on coding best practices
    • Engaging team members on implementing end-to-end system architecture and vision, whether through code or configuration


  • Owning release processes and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Working in an agile environment utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Creating and managing project artifacts and technical documentation
  • Demoing system enhancements to business stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills and software engineering experience

  • Ability to work well across offices and timezones in working with both other team members, end users and stakeholders


Education, Experience



  • 4+ years developing on the Salesforce.com platform including custom objects, Apex, JavaScript, Visualforce, Force.com, Triggers, Migration Tools, and Web Services
  • Salesforce Administration Certifications are a plus
  • Salesforce Developer Certifications are required
  • 3+ years working in an Agile Environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Flosum, Prodly, etc)
  • Experience with automated testing (Provar, Jenkins, Automated Testing, etc.) preferred
  • Experience building RESTful Web API's and integration systems
  • Experience with enterprise integration to Salesforce.com using tools such as Celigo
  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud promoting digital experience
  • Experience in integrating enterprise applications with other API enabled Business Systems (i.e., Salesforce.com, NetSuite, DocuSign, Marketo, ChurnZero, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting experience


Compensation

Base salary/pay of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
