General Purpose and Scope of Position:

CropSights is a new digital platform being launched by Wilbur-Ellis to help growers and agronomists improve decision-making and unlock more value by delivering powerful insights. CropSights complements Wilbur-Ellis' value-added advisory services by offering simple, easy-to-access insights across field health insights, input tracking, field activities, regulatory compliance, and more.

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Go-To-Market Sales Lead to lead launch and sales growth efforts, with local teams, to deliver the value proposition of CropSights to Wilbur Ellis customers. This individual will lead go-to-market (GTM) efforts, including driving sales, evaluating regional features, building launch plans, and executing ongoing sales enablement and customer success efforts to drive the adoption of CropSights. This is a full-time dedicated role with sales, technical, and business, skill sets and is both customer and internal facing.

Specific Responsibilities Include:



  • Define and execute GTM strategies (in collaboration with the CropSights Business Lead) to launch, including sales goals adoption and usage targets, and KPI targets
  • Guide GTM sales activities across regions and enforce sales discipline to achieve targets, coach sales representatives

    • Guide training curriculum development and lead virtual and in-person training to enable the regional team members to promote and sell CropSights
    • Provide team and 1-on-1 sales coaching for presenting, demoing, and closing
    • Develop and model tailored responses to team and customers' objections and questions


  • Participate in customer sales meetings to drive sales and facilitate sales team learning
  • Build and guide the GTM team to tailor and execute regional launch plans

    • Support market research efforts (grower needs, feature fit/customization, etc.) to align grower needs with CropSights benefits
    • Collaborate with local leadership to build, maintain, and accelerate sales funnels
    • Tailor marketing messaging, product positioning, and materials to specific market needs


  • Lead the design and execution of the customer support process to deliver optimal user experience, including customer journey tools and customer success/support processes to enable local teams
  • Develop strong relationships and communication with regional leadership teams

    • Build strong relationships within the regional teams and management
    • Ensure customer and agronomist feedback and insights are communicated with the CropSights software team




Skills and Experience Required:



  • 10+ years of experience in selling products or services, with success in gaining adoption and growing sales across multiple regions
  • Experience with training, coaching, and motivating sales teams to achieve sales targets
  • Knowledge of specialty crop production and operations, industrial/chemical sales in a distributed environment, or software as a service (SAAS) marketing, positioning, and sales desired
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills, including motivating others
  • Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals
  • Meticulous attention to detail; ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
  • Advanced sales and presentation/oral communication skills


Work Conditions:



  • Significant travel (up to 50%) for meetings, coaching, and training will be required
  • Proficiency with computer usage and appropriate software required
  • Ability to fully participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings


Compensation and Benefits:



  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $116,500 to $163,033. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
