RESPONSIBILITIES: Therapist I-II (PMTO) is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions and clinical services to parents and their children as assigned by utilizing the Parent Management Training-Oregon (PMTO) evidence-based treatment modality. Key job duties include participating actively in PMTO training to achieve and sustain certification, maintaining a caseload of 5-7 families, and providing face-to-face intensive in-home services to the assigned parent/guardian and child. This position provides each family weekly one in-home parent coaching and one family session with the parents/guardians and their child(ren) for up to 26 weeks. The Therapist I-II position is also responsible for developing treatment plans, maintaining clinical records, and working cooperatively with the assigned Cornerstones of Care Foster Care case worker in order to coordinate therapy sessions and communicate pertinent case information. Additional responsibilities include developing a transition plan with the family for discharge.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field. Must be licensed by the Kansas BSRB. Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
