The School Earth & Environmental Sciences lies within the College of Science & Engineering. The School is the umbrella under which resides the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Institute for Rock Magnetism, the Continental Scientific Drilling Facility, the Minnesota Geological Survey, and the Polar Geospatial Center. The administrative staff supports 30 faculty members (including emeritus), ~50 research staff, and ~100 graduate and undergraduate students. The department's administrative and accounting office is located in 150 John T.
