About the role:

The Associate Program Analyst will work with the Program and Portfolio Management team and various department leads across HHMI. They will triage, administer, and organize projects, from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will work closely with the business owners to assist and support them with the preparation of the project intake form. In addition, they will track and monitor project requests coming through the Project Intake process and perform various administrative duties to support the project and portfolio management process. This newly added role reports to the Director of Program and Portfolio Management.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and monitor project in-take forms and process

  • Assist business owner(s) with completing the project intake form

  • Coordinate and schedule 90-day planning events and portfolio planning events.

  • Prepare and generate documentation and materials for project reviews

  • Support project managers and their projects, assisting with project planning & monitoring, business analysis, risk management, and other items.

  • Assist with preparing project status reports, and metrics

  • Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.

  • One to three years of customer service experience.

  • Experience working in an environment that encourages collaboration.

  • Experience in applying critical thinking, creativity, and effective business.

  • Curiosity and strong desire to learn, experiment, and grow in the field of project and portfolio management

  • Effective time management skills with solid organization and prioritization abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight timeframes

Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a normal seated or standing position for extended periods of time; reaching and grasping by extending hand(s) or arm(s); dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers, for example using a keyboard; communication skills using the spoken word; ability to see and hear within normal parameters; ability to move about workspace. The position requires mobility, including the ability to move materials weighing up to several pounds (such as a laptop computer or tablet).

Compensation Range

$24.98 (minimum) - $31.22 (midpoint) - $40.59 (maximum)

Pay Type:

Hourly

HHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
