Responsible for providing patient - oriented service in a clinical or front office setting; performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care, including greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting patient co - pays and insurance payments, processing paperwork, and performing other front office duties as required in a fast - paced, customer - oriented clinical environment. Per Diem associates must work a minimum of 16 hours per month, usually 2, eight - hour shifts. And even these hours are extra flexible at times, allowing 4-hour blocks and sometimes less depending on the need. Per Diems work when there is a vacancy and we have a number of vacancies currently. There are opportunities to work the minimum, 16 - hours per month and there are opportunities to work considerably more. We welcome and encourage you to pick up even more shifts, but we also respect your need for student - work - life balance. For candidates willing to travel to any higher need area, we will pay travel expenses / personal mileage on top of the base salary. This position is a per diem OR as needed role, Monday - Sunday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM including the flexibility to on call (for staff call outs, meetings, on vacation) and work weekends based on business need. Our office is located at NORTHERN LIGHT MAYO HOSPITAL, 897 WEST MAIN ST, DOVER FOXCROFT, ME, 04426. We offer 30 days of training. Primary Responsibilities:
