Summary:

A newly created role within the department, the Senior Director of Internal Audit will participate in the leadership of our audit function including both IT and financial/process audit responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess a growth mindset and a desire to lead a team through change to become a world-class internal audit group for a fantastic company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of people who have multi-faceted backgrounds and experience. Actively contribute to the execution of the team's strategic plan. The strategic plan includes developing continuous monitoring tools, the adoption and integration of agile auditing methodology, leveraging data analytics, utilizing robotic process automation, along with the development and monitoring of key risk indicators.
  • Understand and teach others about the risks related to companies like Sysco and how to mitigate those risks.
  • Possess experience working in multi-national companies and a desire to share your personal experiences with others to contribute to the team's success.
  • Embrace a culture where change is a necessary element for growth and collaboration is essential.
  • Share a passion for service to others across the company and a commitment to developing relationships with leaders and associates throughout Sysco.
  • Have a thirst for learning and enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills.


Education and/or Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • CPA or CIA is required; CISA designation is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in a combination of public accounting and/or private industry.
