Overview

The Manager of Instructional Design will be accountable for the strategy and execution of the Instructional Design Work Stream of the Learning & Development Team. This includes, but is not limited to, managing existing processes in addition to process improvement and creating standards of quality and measures of success. Leads a team of Instructional Designers allocated to support the strategic and tactical initiatives for their assigned client group that drive to successful outcomes to CareCentrix as a whole. Portfolio management for the team includes the needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of all training initiatives that drive operational and service excellence. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with assigned business areas to provide the necessary learning solutions and measureable outcome for each project. Leverages resources to meet and exceed cost, schedule, and quality as defined by the service level agreement of each project.



Responsibilities

In this job you will:

* Lead the instructional design function and its associates.
* Build and direct the strategy for development/ design of current and new platforms, such as video, micro-learning and mobile.
* Collaborate with the training leaders on project intakes, charters, design, creation and results.
* Oversee all initiatives, programs or processes that are highly complex in nature
* Formulate strategies to achieve company learning goals and creates concept designs.
* Address program feasibility (financial, operational, and technical); directs the requirements and measurements in order to determine impact of programs.
* Evaluate impact and effectiveness of our training initiatives as compared with established goals with the business. Ensures the service level agreements are met by both training and the business.
* Develop communication strategies
* Partner with other department staff or external resources to solicit and integrate input from key stakeholders.
* Proactively evaluates procedures and processes regularly and determines/ recommends alternatives or improvements. Establishes and tracks training performance and reports findings to business leaders.
* Communicate and present project information to project team / updates to senior level management
* Actively builds strong relationships among teams and team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives, Ensures processes are followed and applied consistently throughout team/department.
* Collaborates closely with Business Unit leaders at the senior level to ensure alignment of strategies, projects, and programs for successful implementation.
* Partners with cross-functional teams to assure successful new health plan implementation.
* Creates, manages, and monitors learning project plans for internal clients.
* Creates, monitors, analyzes and reports metrics to measure impact of training activities.
* Researches internal/external vendors and products for integration into training programs and plans.
* Partners with vendors and acts as vendor relationship manager for successful product implementation to achieve results.
* Supervise, coach, and develop departmental staff and develop standards of performance
* Ensures adherence to training budgets and quality guidelines.
* Must perform other duties as required or assigned.



Qualifications

You should get in touch if have:

  • Master's Degree preferred in related field or equivalent with professional designation.
  • Minimum of 8 years of educational design/development; 3 years of corporate management experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of learning design, instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning theory and strategies, and the design and integration of online and other performance support tools into on-the-job use. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio) is also required.
  • Experience developing eLearning using an authoring tool like Articulate, or Captivate, is required.
  • Must have demonstrated intimate knowledge of instructional design methodologies adult learning theory (ARCS, Robert Gagne, ADDIE and SAM models of ISD, Kirkpatrick 4 levels of Evaluation.
