Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Dispatcher to work at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The Dispatcher will coordinate the transportation of materials. Pay: $21-25 Shift/Schedule: 6am-4pm Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Dispatcher will: Coordinate the transportation of materials Work with customers, take orders, and resolve issues Schedule drivers to make delivers Enter and report information using a computer daily Answer phone and radio to communicate with customers, staff, and drivers Providing directions and assistance for drivers Coordinate daily functions with various operations Secure and coordinate work for trucks Processes paperwork from previous days shipments Analyze data and implement findings to improve the flow of material, increase the efficiency of assets, and increase revenue generation Provide a high degree of customer service and professionalism within a team environment through problem assessment, identification, and resolution. Provide user training to trucking owners, managers, and drivers. Other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws Extensive experience in customer services, as well as generating freight bills and invoices. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Knowledge of basic office machinery To Apply: Please submit your resume.
