Federal Realty Investment Trust is seeking an experienced person to fill our full-time Maintenance Technician position. The role covers both Grossmont Center in La Mesa, and Escondido Promenade in Escondido. The successful candidate will have the ability to enhance operational effectiveness by assisting in maintaining the integrity and efficient operation of all properties within the specified portfolio.

• Provide superior customer service to tenants, vendors, customers, and guests.
• Maintain Grossmont Center and Escondido Promenade in first-class condition.
• Follow procedures to assist with maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and/or site systems on the properties which include but are not limited to: Fire protection/sprinkler systems, plumbing - sewer mains/clean-outs/drains/sump pumps/other plumbing, electrical lighting for site and buildings, roofing and structures, asphalt, concrete and painted surfaces, furnishings and fixtures, etc.
• Regularly inspect all properties to identify hazards and areas that may warrant repairs or upgrades. Report findings to Chief Engineer.
• Communicate regularly with the Chief Engineer about the status of projects and promptly report any potential or existing problems or concerns.
• Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines (i.e. OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment
• Assist with keeping accurate, up-to-date records as required
• Assist leasing, marketing, tenant coordination and other disciplines as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in past maintenance position
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Skilled at using a variety of tools required for the job
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices
• Sound decision making capabilities
• Must be able to climb ladders or scaffolding as needed
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk a property 3 to 4 times a day
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
• Good communication skills
• Must have flexibility with schedule as weekend and after-hours work is required

Work Schedule: Day shift, 7:00am - 4:00pm, 5 days a week working Monday thru Friday;

Salary Range:The typical pay range is $50,000-$65,000 a year (equivalent hourly rate range of $24.00-$31.25). Salary is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, training, and/or certification in electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC.
