FIRST SHIFT POSITION:

STARTING RATE OF PAY: $25.06

HEALTH INSURANCE AVAILABLE AFTER 90 DAYS.

CLOW HAS AN OPENING FOR A 1ST SHIFT BRASS UTILITY. THE BRASS UTILITY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING THE BRASS DEPARTMENT IN VARIOUS AREAS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BRASS CUT OFF SAW OPERATION, GRINDING, POURING AND OCCASSIONAL FORK-LIFT OPERATION BASED UPON PRODUCTION NEED.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUCCESSFUL BRASS UTILITY CANDIDATE WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

-Check guards, tool rests, and wheel for proper spacing and condition.
-Lock out and tag out of equipment if necessary.
-Retrieval of parts from tub.
-Removal of excess metal from part by using proper grinding tool.
-Placing finished part in proper tub.
-Retrieves molten metal from brass furnace.

-Utilizes ladle to transfer metal.

-Loading and unloading castings into Pangborn machine.
-Set-up and tooling of the cut off saw.
-Cutting apart the castings and sliding them into appropriate bins.
-General clean-up of assigned areas.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SUCCESSFUL BRASS UTILITY CANDIDATE WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
-Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs, some lifting of up to 50 lbs.
-Frequent lifting greater than 40 times per hour.
-Bending/ twisting/ and standing for greater than 8 hours.
-Ability to read and write and understand training and instruction.
-Ability to work in extreme heat.
-Must be able to utilize and work around moving machinery.
-Must be able to utilize proper PPE including: respirator, metatarsal guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, apron, gloves and sleeves.
