Our 115-acre campus in Jacksonville, FL features eight newly renovated office buildings, surrounding a beautiful pond and walking path. What We Offer:

Previous Interns Have Worked On:



  • Developing a self-service visualization tool to compare our position against competitors and key metrics against the Consumer Price Index
  • Analyzing data using multiple coding languages to create visualizations and interactive tools to interpret trends and important factors impacting healthcare outcomes
  • Conducting in-depth research on publicly available social determinants of health (SDoH) data, including applying machine learning methods to create indices for future projects
  • Creating an impact score to assess how individual variables impact overall performance outcomes
  • Building a dashboard focused on the member care process to improve health outcomes and provide insights to our clinical business partners
  • Analyzing medical deserts to determine when a member's care may be negatively affected by their proximity to health care services


What can an Analytics Intern at GuideWell expect?:



  • Expand knowledge and value opportunities for learning
  • Provide research, development, and analytical support to meet various Florida Blue departments' business needs, products, and processes
  • Modify and create models and/or visualizations that are used for evaluation and forecasting
  • Perform accurate and timely research, data modeling using SQL, SAS and/or R, and in-depth analysis to develop recommendations for decision makers across the company
  • Deliver professional presentations
  • Work under minimal


Must Have's:



  • Currently enrolled as an active student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and not graduating prior to August 2025
  • Coursework that demonstrates analytical abilities and interest, as well as critical thinking
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better at the time of application, throughout the application process, and for the duration of the internship program.

Typical Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $25
