Position Overview

Energy Transfer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while contributing to the financial operations of a leading energy company. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for the energy sector. Key Responsibilities



  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Analyze financial results and provide senior leadership insight to key drivers for operational performance
  • Identify, assess and manage risk to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Must adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior when carrying out job responsibilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Associate Accountant requires a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Accountant level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
