Large Valve Assembly- Clow Valve Oskaloosa Iowa

2nd SHIFT MONDAY- THURSDAY - 10 HOUR SHIFT - 3:00 P.M. TO 1:00 A.M.

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $25.16

$500.00 SIGN ON BONUS AFTER COMPLETION OF 120 DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD.

HEALTH INSURANCE AVAILABLE AFTER 60 DAYS.

This position is responsible for assembly of small valves, larges valves, or hydrants. This includes but is not limited to assembly of parts, subassemblies & components, testing, loading/ unloading, and palletizing finished product.

Responsibilities of the successful candidate include but are not limited too:

*Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
*Positions parts and components by using work instructions.
*Verifies specifications by testing product and visually inspecting quality.
*Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment.
*Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.
*Palletizes and gets product ready for shipment, once complete.
*Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
*Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
*Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as needed.

Qualifications include but are not limited too:

*Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
*Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.

*Standing greater than 6 hours per day.

*Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.

*Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, write & utilize tools.

*Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces in high humidity.
*Ability to work with solvents & chemicals, operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
*Manufacturing experience & working around machinery considered.
*PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots are required.
