Overview

WEEKEND SHIFT: FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY 5:00 A.M TO 5:00 P.M)

STARTING PAY: $24.73; QUALIFIED PAY: $25.16

HEALTH INSURANCE AVAILABLE AFTER 60 DAYS.

This position is for machine shop utility duties to include but not limited to hydrant assembly, forklift operation and painting.



Responsibilities

Utility worker responsibilities could include:

Hydrant Assembly responsbilities include but are not limited to:

*Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
*Positions parts and components by using work instructions.
*Verifies specifications by testing product and visually inspecting quality.
*Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment.
*Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.

Forklift operators are responsible for transferring loads of materials and finished goods throughout the facility by completing the following duties:
-Inspecting their forklift and filling out inspection paperwork.
-Visually assessing and clearing their traffic area of people, objects, and other forklift traffic.
-Inspect loads verifying they are secure for transport and accurate.
-Transfer to designated location throughout the facility by complying with all safety rules and regulations.

Fuse coat painter responsibilities include but are not limited to:

*Retrieve unpainted parts from tub, bin or pallet.
*Loading parts onto chain conveyor.
*Blowing shavings/debris from unpainted parts.
*Retrieving hooks to hang unpainted parts.
*Painting with handheld paint sprayer.
*Checking temperature of parts.
*Unloading finished parts from conveyor line.
*Place finished parts on or in pallets tubs or bins.
*Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as needed.



Qualifications

*Lifting/carrying an average of 50 pounds.

*Standing greater than 6 hours per day.

*Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.

*Ability to work around machinery.

*Ability to use hand tools & do repetitive work.

*Manufacturing Experience is considered

*Ability to wear PPE including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots.

*Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
*Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
*Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as needed.
