VCU Massey Center at the new Adult Outpatient Pavilion offers a single point of care for outpatient cancer services to include hematology, medical, surgical and radiation oncology clinics. We are an NCI Cancer Center that offers clinical trials, cutting edge treatments, enhanced imaging and more to provide comprehensive treatment options. Our clinics incorporate shared spaces to support multidisciplinary collaboration to promote the best possible care and treatment options for our patients. Our team shares a common passion for oncology nursing and emphasizes the importance of patient-centered care. The GYN/ONC Nurse Program Coordinator develops, coordinates, and manages clinical and administrative activities related to the Gynecology Oncology Program. This job collaborates with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and/or Vice President, and serves as the administrative and clinical leader for a program. All day-to-day operations of the program are handled independently. Essential Job Statements
Patient Population Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide equitable care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit. Demonstrates knowledge and related competencies of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age, specific needs and to provide the equitable care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures. Adolescents (13-17 years) Adults (18-64 years). Geriatrics (65 years and older) Employment Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program. Preferred Education: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program. Licensure/Certification Required: Current Registered Nurse license AHA BLS Certification or equivalent OR AHA ALS Certification or equivalent Licensure/Certification Preferred: Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience Management of a previous clinical program. Experience in gynecology oncology, gynecology, or oncology. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant clinical experience.
