This individual will support administrative and patient scheduling aspects of the Pediatric Plastic Surgery practice within the Children's Hospital of Richmond. Duties include:
*Organizing and directing clinic flow at the multidisciplinary clinic *Creating clinic packets *Maintaining a patient recall tracker *Sending final reports to PCPs *Manage research database *Serves as a departmental point of contact for community providers to alert a new cleft diagnosis from community hospitals *Helping clinic staff monitor inboxes and taking patient calls/responding to voicemails for patient concerns *Assisting with pre-authorization requests as needed *Attending weekly clinic team debriefs *Calls to confirm appointment times for upcoming clinic *Manage referrals for specialty *Additional projects as needed to support to plastic surgery and craniofacial teams The Program Coordinator provide administrative and secretarial support based on applicable policies, rules and procedures. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring Experience PREFERRED: Five (5) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting Previous experience in an academic health care setting Education/training REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Education/training PREFERRED: Associate Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field from an accredited program Independent action(s) required: Project management and communication with a variety of individuals/entities and decision making.
