Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking a Systems EngineerIIto work on our client's site inSan Diego, CA.

The Systems Engineer II collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements, design and implement scalable architectures, and ensure the seamless operation of systems through integration, troubleshooting, and debugging. This role involves developing and maintaining system documentation, evaluating hardware and software solutions, monitoring system performance, and ensuring system security. The Systems Engineer II also provides technical support and guidance, staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Job responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand system requirements.
• Design and implement efficient, reliable, and scalable system architectures.
• Perform system integration, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure seamless operation.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet system requirements.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate software components into the system.
• Ensure system security by implementing best practices and security measures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to systems engineering.

Salary Range:$95,000 - $120,000 Yearly

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline.
• 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of system design and architecture principles.
• Experience with system integration, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining system documentation.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions.
• Knowledge of system performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with software developers to integrate software components.
• Understanding of best practices for system security and the implementation of security measures.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Must Have

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Proven experience in systems engineering and system architecture design.
• Proficiency in system integration, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Strong understanding of hardware and software evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of system performance monitoring and optimization.
• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications in systems engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience with emerging technologies and industry trends in systems engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
• Experience in providing technical support and training to end-users and team members.
