Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking aSoftware Engineer IIto work on our client's site inSan Diego, CA.

The Software Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, writing clean and efficient code, and conducting testing and debugging. The Software Engineer II will participate in code reviews, stay updated on industry trends, and contribute to the improvement of software development processes and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in software engineering, familiarity with modern development methodologies, and relevant certifications.


Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze software requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of software applications to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in software development.
  • Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and methodologies.



Salary Range:$115,000 - $120,000 Yearly

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
  • Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps).
  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
  • Strong programming skills and proficiency in relevant programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Proficiency in conducting thorough testing and debugging of software applications.


Must Have

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience in software engineering and development.
  • Familiarity with modern software development methodologies.
  • Strong programming skills and experience with relevant programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Additional certifications in software development or related areas.
  • Experience with emerging technologies and industry trends in software development.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects or software development communities.
