Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking aConfiguration Managerto work on our client's site in Washington, DC.

The Configuration Manager is responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of configuration management, including hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration. This role involves working closely with the Configuration Control Board to define and implement procedures for releasing new products throughout their life cycle. The Configuration Manager provides guidance on change management and product configuration, ensuring consistency and quality across the organization.

  • Manage and control hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.
  • Work closely with the Configuration Control Board to define and implement procedures for releasing new products throughout their entire life cycle.
  • Provide change management and product configuration management guidance to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain and update configuration management databases and tools.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all configuration management activities comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and audit configuration management processes to ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely configuration status accounting and reporting.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide support to team members on configuration management processes and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in configuration management.

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in configuration management.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and practices.
  • Experience with hardware inventory management, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in using configuration management tools and software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience working with a Configuration Control Board.


Must Have

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience in managing and controlling hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and the Configuration Control Board.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in using configuration management tools and software.


Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications in configuration management.
  • Experience in change management and product configuration management.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to configuration management.
  • Experience conducting training sessions on configuration management processes and tools.
