Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking aHuman Systems Integration Engineer IIIto work on our client's site inSan Diego, CA.

The Human Systems Integration Engineer II collaborates with cross-functional teams to incorporate human factors considerations into the design and development of products and systems. This role involves conducting usability evaluations, analyzing user feedback, and supporting the development of user interface specifications. The engineer will work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure optimal user experience and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in human factors engineering.


Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human factors considerations into the design and development of products and systems.
  • Conduct usability evaluations and human performance assessments to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Analyze and interpret user feedback, incorporating findings into design improvements.
  • Support the development of user interface specifications and guidelines.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to implement human systems integration principles.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in human factors engineering.
  • Research and analyze missions, tactics, equipment, interfaces, and resource allocations for new and developing systems and programs.
  • Locate and research relevant data to build models, including systems data from the Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and operational data (Fleet).
  • Ensure data traceability through the pyramid of models.
  • Ensure missions are traceable to Required Operational Capabilities and based on Integration and Interoperability baselines.
  • Provide systems engineering support in analyzing and/or projecting the performance of future systems.
  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems.
  • Conduct Task Analyses, including Mission Task Analysis, Top-Down Functional Analysis, and Critical Task Analysis.



Salary Range:$105,000 - $120,000 Yearly

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in human systems integration or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Government related R&D, T&E
  • Strong understanding of human factors engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in conducting usability evaluations and human performance assessments.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting user feedback to inform design improvements.
  • Experience in developing user interface specifications and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and the ability to apply them to new and developing systems.


Must Have

  • Active TS/SCIClearance
  • Proven experience in human systems integration and usability evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of human factors engineering principles.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret user feedback for design improvements.
  • Proficiency in developing user interface specifications and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with systems engineering support and performance analysis of future systems.


Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in Human Factors Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in human factors engineering or systems engineering.
  • Experience with military or defense systems and programs.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in human factors engineering.
  • Experience conducting Task Analyses, including Mission Task Analysis and Top-Down Functional Analysis.
