Overview
Edith Bowen Laboratory School is looking for School substitutes. This position is an as needed basis during the 2024-2025 public school year. This person serves as a substitute for teachers or classroom aides that are absent. Jobs are typically assigned as either a half-day (4 hours) or full-day (7.5 hours). Compensation will be paid on a daily rate based on qualifications.

Compensation is: Non-Licensed $85.00 full day/ $42.50 half day; Licensed $100/full day $50.00/half day. To be considered for the licensed rate you must have an active Utah teaching license. Job offer contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision for a classroom or other groups of students as assigned.
  • Ensure the safety of students and other employees.
  • Communicate clearly with other employees and share a detailed report with the employee for whom they have substituted.
  • Assist students in continued learning in the absence of their normal teacher or aide.
  • Follow lesson plans as provided.
  • Abide by all health and safety protocols at Edith Bowen Laboratory School and Utah State University.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Utah teaching license
