LTP Brigade Fires Coach

Works under the direction of the LTP Branch Chief.

• Provides "best practice" coaching, teaching and mentoring to US Army Brigade Fire Support Elements. This includes, the Military Decision Making Process; Lethal and Non-Lethal Targeting and Echelons Above Brigade Fires Integration.
• Must maintain professional currency on Army and Joint operational doctrine and terminology as well as current Fires tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Provides timely and relevant subject matter expertise to the LTP Branch Chief, Commander - Operations Group, and the Operations Group Fires Division on a broad range of doctrinal, and tactical issues.
• Conducts reviews and provides comments on draft doctrinal publications.
• Performs other duties as defined by the JRTC LTP Branch Chief.

Required Experience:

• Military Education Level IV.
• Battalion command of a tactical Field Artillery battalion.

Desired Experience:

• SSC Graduate.
• Experience as a CTC Observer/Coach/Trainer.
• Combat experience at the US Army Brigade Combat Team level or below.
• Former Brigade Commander.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
• Must possess a Secret security clearance before being able to work in this position.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Will be subject to random drug screening.
