Valiant Integrated Services is looking for an experienced, highly skilled Sr. Training and Development Specialist to join our professional team at Schofield Barracks, HI providing support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP), to include the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES), Tactical Engagement System (TES) and Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS) Interim Contractor Support (ICS). ATMP brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the world's best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training support. ATMP operations support the installation and training mission to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battlefield.

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:



  • Assists the customer by operating TADSS and providing familiarization training/support, primarily Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES), Tactical Engagement System (TES) and Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS).
  • Assist in planning and scheduling work requirements and conducts or assists in briefings and tour of site to all senior officers, training units and civilian personnel, including foreign dignitaries on official business.
  • Attends management meetings, customer meetings and other required contractual meetings
  • Ensures associates follow program, company, and government policies and procedures.
  • Designs and administers programs to train all levels of personnel
  • Remains informed of and maintains proficiency with applicable company products.
  • Work closely with the customers, both local and numerous remote sites on training device scheduling, mission planning, conducting training and after-action reviews.
  • Maintain and file monthly reports on utilization, types of training conducted, number of soldiers trained, availability, and any issue or concerns from the customer.
  • Remain current on TADSS in order to provide train-the-trainer training and support in exercises.
  • Conducts training courses, both on-site and on-line, for the company's applications and systems to include lectures and hands-on sessions.
  • Works with applicable business unit/area to establish specifications of course, prerequisite skills and knowledge for trainees. Ensures that training courses address all levels of employee. Assists in the design and development of technical training programs and curriculums, both on-site and on-line, for employees on various software and/or hardware applications and systems.
  • Researches and assists in writing technical and user manuals to support training. Works with engineering, technical support, and/or applicable area to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features.
  • Gathers, reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions. Prepares recommendations and reports to senior level personnel and/or management. Implements approved revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
  • Reviews, as requested, external training programs to determine feasibility of purchase as requested. Makes recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Works with senior level personnel and business units/technical areas to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs and all other requirements are met.
  • May conduct PMCS and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assists with installation, set-up and tear-down of MILES, TES, and/or VTESS on soldiers and vehicles in support of training exercises.
  • May be required to support other devices and will be cross trained, as needed.
  • Document all maintenance actions by inputting data in MIS.
  • Assist in maintaining Government and contractor property, tools and test equipment.
  • Perform inspections and accountability of property.
  • Assists logistics in accordance with contract requirements and work processes.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Aviation Management, Safety, Training or equivalent desired, or equivalent experience on Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES), Tactical Engagement System (TES) and Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS).
  • Four or more years of technical training experience
  • Experience working with company software, systems, applications and network products
  • Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations
  • Basic understanding of U.S. Army Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES), Tactical Engagement System (TES) and Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS).


Other Qualifications



  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and Post driving privileges.
  • Must have strong verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Applications.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and be adaptable in a high paced environment.
  • Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible workweek.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • May require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS.
