We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

Working for our team, you'll be primarily working on developing and testing modules that run under the Nokia MantaRay SON product that are designed to optimize the network or automate some aspect of network development or maintenance. Good algorithmic thinking and effective coding skills will be essential. You will be asked to attend meetings with customers to understand their requirements and explain the functionality of modules you've developed, so good communication skills are also required.

Location: The candidate must be located in Bellevue, WA

As part of the team, you will:

  • Develop code in Python
  • Take part in code reviews
  • Write automated tests including but not limited to unit tests
  • Write and review customer documentation
  • Write and review technical specifications and test plans
  • Review feature specifications, provide effort estimates
  • Attend customer meetings
  • Attend meetings with RnD counterparts in India on occasion
  • Fix bugs and deliver bug fix packages
  • Manage JIRA tickets and log work

You have:

  • At least 8 years of coding experience with at least 3 years using Python as an object-oriented language
  • Proven experience being technical lead on projects
  • Good algorithmic thinking
  • Ability to navigate a Linux Environment
  • Basic networking skills (firewall, http etc.)
  • Good understanding of databases, good command of SQL
  • Ability to oversee large code bases, find and fix hidden problems
  • Proficient communication skills
