Job Description:

SPD Tech - Sterile Processing

3pm - 11pm (5 days per week / 8 hrs. per shift)

Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and be on call.

Job Description:

• The SPD Technician ensures the safety and quality of patient care by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for use in surgical procedures and patient care areas.

• The SPD Tech works closely with healthcare professionals in the operating room, procedural areas, and sterile supply department to maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, or higher

• Must obtain Certification as a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing and

  Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required within 18 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous SPD experience or healthcare-related experience preferred.

• Completion of a sterile processing technician program preferred.
